Women’s ministry has been a pull and desire on my heart for years, it seems to be knit into my very DNA. Writing and speaking — pouring into, building up and empowering through encouragement. And, while this is something I naturally find myself doing to a certain extent, I have often found myself sensing more, yet trapped in a cycle of  insecurity and comparison. The field is already full of women living my dream, and doing it well.

Her success does not steal from my portion. Inking those words several years ago seemed to release power and freedom. So simple, yet so profound.

There is room enough and, more importantly, a deep need for everyone. Every gift. Every talent. Every voice and story. Where there are dreams and desires there are purposes to be realized, destinies to be fulfilled. Whether great or small, that is not for us to determine; we need simply to be faithful and obedient.

Success should never be measured by the width of one’s reach, but, rather, by the depth of one’s impact.

When others choose to compare and compete, I want to be a voice that encourages, one that empowers. After all, real strength of character and courage is demonstrated when we are willing to celebrate and lift up those around us, even when we find ourselves still waiting for our own breakthrough. Potential is never maximized in the tearing down of others, but in the rallying around and linking together. We need each other.

This is my hope for our community — that we would be willing to use our voices, our gifts, our talents, for the good of one another. Encouragement is often gentle and soft, but at times it needs to be tough and firm. True encouragement, however, no matter what form it takes, is always done in truth with love.

Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.                                   -1 Thessalonians 5:11

My vision is that this will become a community of women that encourages one another to live, love and lead well. Those three broad categories were selected in hopes that the topics related to each one will allow for depth in thought and conversations, and encourage action. All posts will fall under at least one of the broader categories, (Live Well, Love Well, Lead Well), allowing for ease in sorting and searching.
