Spring is the season of change, of new life. It is the season of hope. I am praying that change and new will burst forth and mirror this season in life as well. Perhaps this is a natural longing as we witness the unfolding of beauty before our eyes. The vibrant colors, the sweet smells, the evidence that the dormancy of winter only lasts for so long.
There is a reason for every season in nature, the same is true for the seasons in our own lives. Winter protects and allows rest and stillness, quiet, a slow and steady preserving of the old life in preparation for the new life still to come. We need the winter seasons of waiting. Spring is the result of winter’s obedience.
Spring is a breaking forth, a setting free.
Song of Songs 2:13(TPT) so poetically and beautifully describes the hope of new and change. We call the season spring in nature, we may call it something like finally in life. A sweet release. And what this verse does is remind us of destiny and God’s purpose, new life, change, and the time to arise. We are invited to look at the beauty around us, to use our senses, to trust in this new day.
May this be the season where we arise. Where we stop questioning and start declaring yes and amen! For truly, “there is change in the air.” Can you feel it too?
Can you not discern
this new day of destiny
breaking forth around you?
The early signs of my purposes
and plans are bursting forth.
The budding vines of new life
are now blooming everywhere.
The fragrance of their flowers
whispers, “there is change in the air.”
Arise, my love, my beautiful
companion, and run with
me to the higher place. For now
is the time to arise.
-Song of Songs 2:13TPT
Now is the time.
Arise.
